Shazia Zulfquar-Khalid
Founder/Chairman 

Shazia Zulfquar-Khalid is a wife and mother, and a member of the Kruiskerk (Church of the Cross) in Arnhem. She is an English teacher with 13 years of teaching experience in Pakistan and 9 years in the Netherlands. Shazia is active in social work, particularly for women and children. Her dream is to educate impoverished Christian children in Pakistan. She believes that education is the only solution to the problems faced by Pakistani Christians.

Ard Tamminga
Secretary of Finance

Ard Tamminga, along with his wife and three children, is a member of NGK De Kandelaar in Amersfoort. He teaches biology at a secondary school. As of May 1, 2023, he will be a co-director of the Shazia Ijaz Foundation. Ard focuses primarily on communication with supporters and financial management. He is motivated to work for the foundation because it allows him to contribute to the fight against poverty and discrimination against minorities in Pakistan.

Jose Bronsveld
Board member

Jose Bronsveld studied Youth and Community Work Studies at the University of Sunderland in England. She served as a community center administrator for nine years and worked for 14 years as a mentor/befriender for an organization that works with ex-convicts and former drug addicts. Since 2010, she has also been involved with the Dutch human rights organization Jubilee Campaign, which is also active in Pakistan.
Jose has a heart for people on the margins of society. In Pakistan, these are primarily Christian families living in poverty and facing severe discrimination. Jose believes that SIF’s work gives these families a chance at a better future.
Jose is married and has two adult children. Her daughter Jessyca is also involved in SIF’s work.

Ijaz Zulfquar
Director SIF

Ijaz Zulfquar is a teacher, radio programmer, writer, speaker, and high school presenter. Since 1988, he has been active in politics and community service, working for democracy, human rights, and interfaith harmony.
Ijaz is an EU-level lobbyist, has worked with many national and local NGOs, and led several movements in Pakistan and Europe for the rights of religious minorities.
Ijaz is married to Shazia Zulfquar-Khalid. The Christian couple has four children.

Aroosh Zulfquar
SIF Advisor and volunteer

Aroosh Zulfquar (daughter of Shazia and Ijaz) is an international law student at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and a member of Kruiskerk, Arnhem. She is highly talented and passionate about playing her valuable role as an active SIF team member. She is inspired to continue her parents’ passion for raising Christian children in Pakistan.
